Time to get those strep-riddled tonsils OUTTA THERE!

Cheery Gregory thought his hospital clothes were pretty funny.  He surprised and delighted the docs and nurses with his positive, informed, fearless disposition as they got him ready to roll on back to the OR.
Just after he got back into the recovery room, he was pretty bleary.  But he was content to suck on ice chips and  watch episodes of Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while the grogginess wore off.

Gregory's been excited for weeks about the upcoming feast of popsicles and pudding and other sore-throat-friendly treats.  He was happy to get started while still in the hospital.

This is a new toy that Grandma Beverly provided for Gregory's entertainment during his recovery.  He's been SO excited to open up the box and start playing.  AS SOON as he got home from the hospital, he dived in and set it all up.

Still working on setting it all up...

Almost done!  After he set this up and played with it a while, he was ready for a nice, long afternoon nap.  He's being a REALLY good boy, and so far is weathering the discomfort amazingly well.  The surgeon mentions that tomorrow and the next day might be more painful than today, so we'll be ready for that.

  1. Way to go, Gregory! You're going to be so much happier with those nasty tonsils out of there. Now just sit back and enjoy the cold treats and rest as much as you can so you can be up and feeling better in no time!

  2. I'm glad those darn little buggers came out! I can't figure out what Grandma Beverly sent that Gregory is diligently putting up.

Is he feeling any better today? Sure hope so!
