Aaahhhh.... summer time for little kids. Annika and Gregory were lying on the ground just looking at the clouds. Does life get any better than that?

The park. The kids had a romping good time on another tire swing at a different park. Then, they decided to just RUN full-tilt in the soccer field next to the park. They didn't really have a game going, just kind of a loose no-rules version of chase or tag, but everyone and no-one was "it" at any given time. They were just running because it felt good to run.

The park. It was pretty busy at the park when we first got there, because the daycare next door had taken a group walk over to play at the park. But once they headed back for lunch, we almost had the place to ourselves.

The park. Ava and Henry had lots of fun climbing around and sliding.
Vacation Bible School. This week has been VBS at our church, and the whole Mears-Breutzman kid collection has been attending. It's been lots of fun, with daily crafts, stories, snack time, and playground time. The kids have all really enjoyed it, and keep asking me all afternoon, "Is it time to go to VBS yet?"
Schoolwork time. Each morning during Annika and Ava's visit, we've started the day with breakfast, then chores and school work. Kid chores have been things like wiping down bathrooms, picking up clutter from the floor, emptying the dishwasher, folding and putting away laundry, and cleaning up rooms. Schoolwork has been math fact sheets, writing illustrated stories about our week's fun activities, handwriting practice sheets, etc.
I love this post. I sure wish we could be there to enjoy all the fun with cousins. And I REALLY wish I could have gone cherry picking with you guys today!
