This candle is for Oliver Mastin, who died this past Monday, August 3. He was two days shy of his first birthday, and he died from a disease called SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). Oliver's parents asked folks to participate in the effort to raise awareness of SMA; read their request here: Ollie's_Tale. Oliver was a beautiful, cheery, cherished, beloved boy, and we are all terribly sad for Neil and Bekka Mastin's loss.
