We sure had lots of fun with Mark and Astrid the girlies over the Thanksgiving weekend. Before the fun got started, we made the kids work a little. We gave them various clean-up jobs, like sorting out the different sets of flatware that had gotten mixed all up during the huge eating event. We also had kids folding up and stacking chairs and doing general tidying.
We teamed up to decorate this cute little gingerbread house from the Wilton kit - I love Wilton's ready-to-decorate gingerbread house kits! They let the kids get right to the part they want to do - the DECORATING. Nevermind all that tedious baking and house construction. Let's start sticking candy on the outside of it RIGHT NOW!
While the mommies went Black Friday shopping, the kids and daddies and Grandpa did stuff outside. Henry thought that the leaf blower was insanely fun. He danced around in the flying leaves, jumping and squealing and flapping his arms around.

And there was some bouncing. BOOOIIING! Those adult-sized feet belong to Uncle Mark. Fun was had by all!
In the end, everyone was tired. I just love how all the kids are draped over the couch in this picture. Ava and Gregory have been extra-sweet friends the last couple times we've gotten together.
Thanks for hosting Thanksgiving this year! It was fabulous and we had a great time!
